TITAS, CUMILLA: Concern has been raised among local residents in Asmania Bazar of Narandia Union in Titas Upazila, Cumilla, following allegations that sharp, tactical-style axes were sold online and delivered through a courier service.
According to local sources, several axes were recently ordered from an online shop identified as FinenPick.com. The parcel was reportedly sent for delivery through CarryBee, via its Titas/Daudkandi-Narandia sub-zone.
Local youths said they collected the parcel from the courier office and opened it in front of others. According to them, the package contained several heavy, sharp-edged axes with a tactical or military-style design.
The incident reportedly prompted concern among local youths, who contacted the courier agent and expressed their objections. They urged the courier service and its agents to properly verify the legality and nature of products before accepting and delivering potentially dangerous items.
The youths also called for an investigation into the online sale and courier delivery of such products. They said that if any violation of applicable laws is established, appropriate legal action should be taken against the responsible individuals or organizations.
Local residents have urged the relevant authorities to examine the matter, including the legality of the products, the online sale process, and the role of the courier service involved.
